Bottles Finished Table Runner

$65.50 CAD

Here is an eye-catching table runner that also could be used as a wall hanging. It measures 12” x 44” and consists of tessellated bottle shapes in a number of different black and white fabrics interspersed by a fun batik fabric in bright colours. This same fabric has also been used in the binding. The quilting lines follow the curves of the bottles. The runner is finished with a single layered binding to reduce bulk and is stitched by hand to the back.

Fabrics used in my table runners, center pieces and placemats are quality cottons. As batting I usually use a flat 50/50 cotton/polyester. Occasionally I also use 80/20 cotton/polyester for these items. They can be machine washed in cold water with a mild detergent and tumble dried on a low setting or dried while lying flat on a towel. Press with steam on a cotton setting. Many of these designs make also wonderful wall hangings in narrow wall spaces.

“I love to work with colours and shapes and have designed quilt patterns for the past 25 years. I am especially intrigued by the complexity of scrap quilts which combine a multitude of fabrics. I design, assemble and quilt my projects on a home sewing machine in a smoke- and pet-free environment. Piecing is done with quality cotton fabrics. Batting in quilts is Hobbs Heirloom unless otherwise noted. This batting combines the best qualities of 80% cotton and 20% polyester. For table decor I prefer to use a flat 50/50 cotton/polyester blend.”
